OBJECTIVES
THE CONFERENCE AIMS AT:
• Providing a platform to allow the exchange of expertise among the parties and bodies in the Arab countries, which are concerned with the desalination industry & the environment
• Promoting successful experiences for the advancement & development of the desalination technology
• Supporting research cooperation for a better technical development at the Arab and international levels by establishing links to conduct specialized research studies compatible with the environment of the region, finding common communication channels between individuals & research bodies & uniting research efforts
• Encouraging the private sector to invest in desalination projects by introducing the relevant investment opportunities available in construction, operation & maintenance
• Contributing to the transfer of knowledge & technology to the Arab region & its nationalization, by inciting the companies specialized in desalination towards establishing their own plants & stations in the region
• Identifying the obstacles met by the desalination industry in the Arab region & finding the appropriate solutions
• Enhancing the performance of employees in the desalination domain, through training & rehabilitation, & guarantying the transfer of expertise to the new generation of engineers & technicians
• Evaluating the feasibility of using alternative energies in desalination and presenting the measures that have been taken so far in the Arab countries
